A combination of business resilience and a firm client base has stood Leeds Trailers in good stead throughout Lockdown and we are reporting a healthy trading position as we adjust to the “new normal”.
We have implemented new working patterns, with Julie providing business and administrative support from home and MD Neil Martin keeping everything going from our Birstall HQ.
We’ve also added an extra trailer yard in Dewsbury to help with capacity and we intend to use this secure site for trailer sales in the coming months.
Neil said, “Demand for flat trailers has remained high as manufacturers have continued to produce building materials and to store them on trailers while waiting for sites to re-open. We have just added a further 3 flat trailers to the fleet.
“Demand for curtain-sided trailers has been steady, rather than spectacular.
“In line with national trends, packaging and food manufacturers have been busy across Yorkshire – whereas other areas such as events and non-essential retail outlets have been forced to shut down, in line with Government guidance.
“We are optimistic that demand for curtain trailers will increase and strengthened our fleet by ordering three new 4.5m-high curtain trailers for delivery by the end of this month (July).”
Leeds Trailers has been open for business throughout and Neil can be contacted by telephone (01924 420 646 ) from 6am to 10pm.
To ensure public and staff safety, we have cleaning stations and hand sanitiser dispensers available and we continue to socially distance, in line with Government rules, at the trailer yards and in the office.
Our motto is: “It’s business as normal – just less handshakes and more sanitising gel. Sincere thanks to you for your ongoing support.”
