The project also includes 3 million sq ft of new offices and 75,000 sq ft of restaurants and shops.

Hume House Project Leeds

The Hume House project in Leeds will bring 300 construction jobs to the area and the building will become the tallest building in Yorkshire at 114m.

The project will bring 1,800 new homes to Leeds. There will be a new primary and secondary school, as well as a local community centre and convenience stores.

Bridge Street Leeds

The Bridge Street in Leeds project is due to be completed in 2020.

The old British Gas Northern HQ was demolished back in 2017, to make room for the 182-bed Hampton by Hilton Hotel and apartment complex.

The apartment complex will have five towers with 843 apartments, alongside cafes and restaurants. The tallest tower will be 430 feet, which is 63 feet higher than Bridgewater Place- the current tallest apartment complex of the city.

X1 South Bank Leeds

928 residential apartments are coming to Leeds as part of the Leeds South Bank regeneration. The project also includes eateries, offices and retail space.

There will be one-to three-bedroom apartments, penthouses with balconies, roof terraces, on-site gyms, secured basement parking and podium gardens.

The project also includes two- to three-bedroom townhouses.

Kirkstall Forge Leeds

The Kirkstall Forge project is a mixed-use scheme that combines office and residential buildings.

This development project includes a total of 1,050 homes with 300,000 sq ft of commercial space and 100,000 sq ft for retail units. It also includes plans for a railway station and primary school.

York Central Partnership

It’s not just Leeds that is seeing a lot of change due to construction projects.

The York Central Partnership that consists of Homes England, Network Rail, the National Railway Museum and the City of York Council is the biggest development project in York since the Victorian era.

The project will transform 45 hectares into 2,500 new homes, 100,000 sq ft of office and retail space, a new park and a new urban core area at the railway station.

Sheffield City Centre Revamp

This mixed-use development project in Sheffield City Centre will include a 32-storey tower at the corner of Pinstone Street.

The tower will have retail units at the bottom floors and privately rented flats at the top. The project is expected to regenerate this area and become an important gateway to connect The Moor and Sheffield City Centre.
